Salary: £22,371 - £23,931

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government. We deliver a remit set by Welsh Ministers and provide the all-age, independent, impartial and bilingual Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) service in Wales.

STEM Gogledd

Here is an exciting opportunity to work on a new project across North West Wales (Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey).
The project will be introduced in schools across the Region during 2019. The project aims to add value to the curriculum by coordinating the extra-curricular STEM offer for young people aged 11-19 year old, to access and inspire them for a future within STEM.

Base: Llandudno

Are you interested in working in partnership with STEM businesses and employers to help identify how they can engage with education to raise learners' awareness of the changing nature of the world of work, the skills needed and the opportunities that are available within STEM?

The successful applicant will identify, establish and sustain positive relationships with a network of employers and their professional bodies to support the delivery of employer engagement services to schools across North West Wales. The successful applicant will also work with a caseload of Year 8-13 participants from across the schools to raise their awareness of the opportunities that arise within STEM.

The STEM Mentor will seek to enrich and promote core STEM subjects within schools through a range of bespoke interventions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time STEM Mentor in Conwy.

Successful applicants will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
